ALBUM COVER ORIGINS

Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood snuck into a hospital basement to get a picture of an iron lung for the album cover, but instead they found the CPR dummy which ended up being used instead. The photo was displayed on a CRT screen and they took a picture of the screen for the distorted effect.
The font used on the front cover, spine, back cover and booklet is called MicroGramma D Extended bold.
